Our HR Partners in the Builder Experience Team (BeXT) care deeply about the employee experience, proactively listening to Builder sentiment, and serving as a connector between Builders, managers, and HRBPs.
This role supports AWS Builders across LATAM, spanning both Corporate and Data Center environments. You will travel weekly to sites within your cluster to maintain a visible, field-based presence through Gemba Go See walks and direct Builder engagement. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
You will collaborate with Business Leaders, Data Center Operations leaders, HRBPs, and partner teams to design, implement, and deploy HR strategies across talent management, performance management, compensation, and employee relations. A core differentiator of this role is leveraging Builder listening mechanisms to proactively monitor and analyze sentiment trends, delivering regular insights and recommended actions to site leadership and HR Business Partners.

Key job responsibilities
Builder Advocacy & Engagement
- Leverage Builder sentiment data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights to site leadership and HRBPs.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to develop strategies focused on the Builder experience - Conduct weekly Gemba Go See (GGS) walks to stay connected to the frontline experience.
- Foster and role model an inclusive environment for all Builders.
- Coach and develop site leadership on talent management, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
- Serve as first point of escalation for Builder concerns, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Apply HR fundamentals, including employment law and policy interpretation, to influence outcomes across diverse populations.
- Partner with HRBPs, Employee Relations, and Labor Relations to align on engagement strategies and ensure consistent execution.
- Conduct workplace investigations in collaboration with Builder Relations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to adapt HR strategies to a rapidly evolving operational environment.
- Support Builder queries with discretion, navigating Amazon policies with sound judgment.
- Drive adoption of HR technology and self-service tools to improve efficiency.
- Own and deliver site-specific people initiatives with measurable outcomes.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of HR specialist, HR generalist (e.g., HR Business Partner or HR Partner), HR manager, or HR program experience
- Knowledge of national and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Experience coaching and influencing senior leadership on people strategies and talent decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals by working across the organization
- Experience analyzing HR metrics and using data insights to drive business decisions
- Experience supporting technical or data center operations environments
- Experience leading workplace investigations end-to-end
- Project management experience driving cross-functional HR initiatives at scale
