Marvell's Global Supply Management organization is a strategic enabler of the company's leadership in cloud, AI, networking, optical interconnect, custom silicon, and accelerated infrastructure solutions. As AI data center deployments continue to drive demand for advanced semiconductor packaging, HBM integration, and leading-edge manufacturing technologies, our procurement organization plays a critical role in securing the supply ecosystem required to support rapid growth and technology innovation.
The team manages strategic supplier relationships across foundries, OSATs, substrate suppliers, assembly and test providers, capital equipment suppliers, and technology ecosystem partners. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Manufacturing teams, the organization develops long-term sourcing strategies that ensure technology readiness, capacity availability, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness.

What You Can Expect

·         Own and evolve the end-to-end procurement and supply chain strategy, including early Engineering engagement for Optics supply chain, which will include everything from lasers, substrates, ELSFP modules, PCB/A, FAU, module assembly, discrete components, and test, test collaterals (testers, probe cards, etc)

·         Develop multi-year supply and capacity plans in partnership with Business Units, Operations, and Engineering to support aggressive revenue growth in optical modules (400G/800G/1.6T and beyond).

·         Lead supplier selection, qualification, and negotiations across this diverse supplier ecosystem including long-term agreements (LTAs), capacity reservations, and pricing frameworks.

·         Build and lead a high-performing procurement team dedicated to the Optics category, including commodity managers and buyers.

·         Drive supply risk management and business continuity planning, including dual-sourcing strategies, allocation management during shortages, and geopolitical/tariff risk mitigation.

·         Partner cross-functionally with Product Line, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain Planning teams to align procurement strategy with product roadmaps and demand forecasts.

·         Own cost reduction roadmaps and total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives across the optics supply base.

·         Establish and monitor supplier performance scorecards (quality, delivery, cost, innovation) and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with top suppliers.

·         Represent Marvell in executive-level supplier negotiations and escalations.

·         Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on supply health, cost trends, and category risk.

What We're Looking For

·         BS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree a plus.

·         20+ years of progressive experience in Optics operations, sourcing.

·         Experience with optical module ecosystems and key industry suppliers

·         Strong understanding of semiconductor and optics manufacturing processes (wafer fab, substrate/PCB fabrication, board assembly, fiber attach, module assembly, and test) and how they interrelate.

·         Familiarity with data center, networking, or hyperscaler customer requirements for optical interconnects.

·         Established relationships with leading optics/photonics suppliers, substrate/PCB fabricators, OSATs, and test equipment/tooling vendors.

·         Proven experience negotiating complex, high-value supply agreements and running competitive bidding/RFQ processes

·         Experience managing supplier relationships across a global footprint, including suppliers in Asia, Europe

·         Strong analytical and complex modeling skills, with experience in should-cost analysis, cost-down programs, and total cost of ownership.

·         Experience building and running supplier scorecards processes and driving suppliers to committed performance targets.

·         People-leadership experience, with a track record of building and developing a high-performing procurement or planning team.

·         Excellent executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting supply health, risk, and cost updates to senior leadership.

·         Ability to travel internationally as needed to engage with key suppliers.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

186,900 - 280,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.


This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
