Job Purpose
Contribute to the development of advanced high-voltage SiC MOSFET technologies by designing innovative device architectures that improve performance, robustness, reliability, and manufacturability.
Key Attributes
- Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of wide bandgap semiconductor materials and power MOSFET device physics, with the ability to design, simulate, and optimize SiC devices.
- Innovation mindset: Ability to develop new device architectures and support the introduction of novel fabrication concepts.
- Analytical skills: Experience in electrical characterization, data analysis, and technical reporting.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify technical issues, support root cause analysis, and contribute to effective corrective actions.
- Continuous learning: Commitment to monitoring scientific literature, patents, and industry trends to identify new opportunities and maintain technical excellence.

Develop SiC device projects from feasibility to industrialization, in collaboration with internal teams, universities, and research partners.Successful introduction of new projects supporting ST’s technology roadmap and growth.Share technical knowledge and progress across R&D, manufacturing, and product organizations.Improved alignment, faster decision-making, and continuous improvement.Design and optimize new SiC device structures and fabrication processes through simulation, analysis, and characterization.Improved device performance, efficiency, robustness, and time to market.Develop advanced edge termination structures for high-voltage SiC devices.Expansion and reinforcement of ST’s high-voltage product portfolio.Build strategic collaborations with technology partners and equipment/material suppliers.Early identification of emerging disruptive technologies and processes.Support customers through technical guidance, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer.High customer satisfaction and effective problem containment and resolution.5+ years of experience
The expected salary range for this position is € 50000 - 60000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.
In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
