Description and Requirements

Reporting to the Global Sponsorships Director and working as part of the Sponsorships team, the Sponsorships Marketing Senior Lead will be responsible for defining and driving the sponsorship marketing strategy and activation roadmap across key partnership platforms.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on activation leadership, ensuring that sponsorship rights, assets and investments are transformed into impactful marketing programs that strengthen brand positioning, engage target audiences and support business objectives across global and local markets.

Given the nature of the sponsorship portfolio, the ideal candidate brings a proven motorsport background and a deep understanding of their commercial, media, sponsorship and partnership dynamics. Strong familiarity with the key stakeholders across the motorsport industry, including rights holders, teams, promoters, governing bodies, agencies and commercial partners, is essential.

Working closely with Brand and Market teams, the candidate will also serve as the governance focal point for sponsorship activations, reviewing and coordinating market activation requests, ensuring compliance with contractual rights, licensing requirements and brand guidelines, and driving seamless execution across all stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Define and evolve sponsorship marketing strategies for assigned partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand and business priorities.
  • Develop annual activation roadmaps and leverage plans, identifying how sponsorship rights and assets can be translated into impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Drive the strategic exploitation of sponsorship rights, intellectual property and licensed assets across multiple marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to engage target audiences through sponsorship platforms, content initiatives, digital experiences and customer engagement programs.
  • Act as the sponsorship marketing lead for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between partnership objectives and broader marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with rights holders, agencies and strategic partners to unlock additional value and activation opportunities.
  • Provide strategic direction on sponsorship activation concepts and marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and partnership objectives.
  • Support the evaluation of new sponsorship opportunities from a marketing, audience engagement and activation perspective.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize sponsorship visibility and integration across campaigns, content and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure all sponsorship marketing initiatives fully leverage contractual rights and comply with licensing requirements, partner guidelines and brand standards.
  • Continuously identify new approaches, best practices and innovative activation opportunities capable of increasing sponsorship value and business impact.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience within the motorsport industry is required.
  • Significant experience in sponsorship marketing, motorsport marketing, partnership marketing or brand activation roles.
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and delivering sponsorship marketing strategies and activation plans within a motorsport environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the international motorsport ecosystem, including major two-wheel and four-wheel racing championships, their commercial structures and partnership models.
  • Strong understanding of the key players shaping the motorsport landscape, including teams, rights holders, promoters, governing bodies, media and commercial partners.
  • Proven experience working with sponsorship rights, licensing frameworks, asset exploitation and partnership value creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate motorsport-specific sponsorship, licensing and activation processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively across complex international organizations.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a strong execution orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and develop innovative sponsorship leverage opportunities that maximize audience engagement and business value.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international and highly collaborative environment.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Additional languages are considered a plus.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The anticipated initial gross base salary range for this position is 50,500–67,300 EUR per year. This range applies to the primary job location Italy and is determined using objective, non-discriminatory and gender-neutral criteria, including skills and relevant experience. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.

Individuals may also be eligible for variable compensation (such as bonus or commission), depending on the role. The applicable variable pay model, eligibility, and target levels will be discussed during the recruitment process.

In addition to base salary and any applicable variable compensation, Lenovo provides statutory remuneration components required by local law, as well as Lenovo's comprehensive benefits package supporting employee well-being, development, and equal opportunities.

For roles open across multiple countries, local base salary ranges may vary based on market conditions, internal frameworks, and legal requirements. The relevant local range will be transparently communicated during the initial discussions.
