Job Description

SWC Solution Architect in the Andean Region to allow Venezuela market reactivation and achieve sustained growth across strategic priorities, enhancing technical coverage, customer engagement, and execution capacity. Oversee the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments; identify volume and strategic customers; and develop partnerships. Analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information and create compelling market analysis presentations. Conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/acquisition perspective.

You will report to the Manager, Business Segment SWC

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect end-to-end industrial automation solutions
  • Lead technical discovery workshops and define customer requirements.
  • Develop control system, software, network, and cybersecurity architectures.
  • Support strategic pursuits, proposals, demonstrations, and bid defenses.
  • Build modernization roadmaps and migration strategies for installed-base customers.
  • Be a technical advisor for customers, partners, and our teams.
  • Develop business-value-oriented solutions that improve productivity, quality, reliability, and sustainability.

Strategic responsibilities are:

  • Application Support: Define main architecture for the system associated with a specific application. Advocate for integrated solutions based on RA Technology and its main differentiators using the entire RA offering.
  • Architecture/Solution Definition: Engage BU commercial support resources manage the elaboration of technical and commercial proposal for integrated control system – hand off information to BUs as complete system definition. Help customers justify investment in RA systems based on expected financial/productivity outcomes

Main activities to implement the strategic responsivities should include:

  • Be with the Account Manager throughout the opportunity cycle (Detect & Prospect, Qualify, Pre-Sales, Proposal Development and Proposal Presentation).
  • Define the architecture and solution that best fulfills the customer needs, being agnostic of the delivery channel (System Integrators, LifeCycle Services).
  • Position overall system capabilities concerning competitive offer.
  • Active participation in the Win Strategy Process.
  • Deliver proof of concepts when needed.
  • In the Proposal Development stage, you assure that the proposal is aligned with the solution defined and with the customer needs.
  • During the Proposal Presentation, defends the solution from a technical point of view.
  • Complete dominion of IAB (integrated architecture builder) and equivalent tools to become available in near future.
  • The Innovation Center team needs to receive one (amount will increase to two later on) application per month from the submitter.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor of Science, degree in Business, Engineering or related areas
  • English in a good communicative level, both spoken and written

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

  • 5 years or more in commercial or project management roles
  • Experience working with end-users, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Industrial and technical background
