Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Language & Architecture: Establish a cutting-edge visual framework, layout structure, and component hierarchy that redefines “signature” interface design for ambient AI ecosystems, moving beyond traditional 2D constraints.
- AI-Assisted UI Prototyping: Leverage modern AI-driven design workflows, custom coding assistants, and automation platforms to rapidly generate, test, and iterate on next-generation visual expressions.
- Adaptive Display Systems: Design dynamic, context-aware and spatial display systems that intelligently scale information density, shape-shift, and reflow based on user attention state and environmental triggers.
- Design System Integration: Shape the future of UI innovation by collaborating directly with core design system teams to infuse breakthrough visual thinking and component frameworks into the broader ecosystem.
- Micro-Interaction Craft: Define the visual rhythm, state changes, and generative micro-feedback loops in design and code to give new interface paradigms a living, polished feel.
- Ambient AI requires interfaces that move beyond static 2D surfaces. This role crafts the visual layer and structural intelligence of our software, leveraging design excellence to invent new visual paradigms that turn complex, chaotic information into calm, beautiful, and fluid expressions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years focused on visual design, UI architecture, or interface design for advanced software.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive portfolio showcasing highly innovative UI concepts, experimental visual frameworks, and high-craft execution.
- Deep mastery of Figma, alongside hands-on proficiency with modern implementation tools like Cursor and Make.
- Experience partnering with front-end engineers to push the boundaries of production-grade interfaces.
- Visual Pioneer: You possess an exquisite eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, driven by a desire to invent entirely new UI expressions rather than maintain legacy patterns.
- Modern Tooling Advocate: You are deeply experienced with modern design implementations, AI-assisted coding environments for rapid UI realization, and workflow automation platforms.
- Adaptive Systems Thinker: You look beyond static rectangles to design dynamic layouts that prioritize, declutter, and adapt based on contextual AI triggers and user intent.
- Collaborative Partner: You work seamlessly with engineering, user research, product managers, and the broader design team to build bleeding-edge UI, translating forward-looking concepts into scalable realities.
- Curious Experimenter: You are eager to test how generative UI and AI-driven layout generation can create visual expressions the industry hasn't seen yet.
- Proficiency in front-end implementation to directly manifest UI designs in code.
- Background in data visualization, generative art, or spatial systems.
- Motion design expertise (After Effects, Lottie) focused on fluid UI state transitions.
- Experience building early-stage component libraries for emerging technologies.
