Meet The Team
Develops software consistent with Cisco ‘Build Thinking Principles’ with a focus on simplification and UX (User Experience) at its core, using secure coding practices, ensuring user privacy, and following software development protocols. Partners with other teams including develop and product management to build the right solution for the customers. Composes technical build documentation to be used by the team as well as chipping in to user documentation to be used by end users. Debugs and addresses software issues during development and in production systems to support customers. Brings new insights for product innovation and helps improve software development processes.

- Integrates product sense as it relates to compose of the product (market awareness, production adoption, competition) and supervises related metrics.
- Writes functional clean code and unit tests with no guidance.
- Maintains and enhances solutions by fixing complicated errors, raising risks, and bringing up issues where vital.
- Identifies immediate and larger scope problems through thorough code reviews.
- Tests and reviews code to optimize scale, velocity, and reliability of work you're doing.
- Supplies to threat modeling of a feature.
- Supervises the production environment and works multi-functionally to identify problems and track production systems.
- May serve as customer concern point for on-call issues.
- Leads postmortem and writes root cause analysis.
- Expert on multiple functional components.
- Shares knowledge across teams, both informally and formally (e.g., ad-hoc basis, internal presentations, blogs, newsletters).
- Coordinates across teams to estimate times and complete projects according to specification and user requirements.
- Supervises milestones, progress and provides ongoing updates and remediation plans to cross-functional partners.
- Mentor peers or more junior team members.
- Assists other engineers through code reviews, documentation, and technical guidance.
- Bachelors + 7 years of related experience OR Masters + 4 years of related experience OR PhD + 1 year of related experience.
- Requires solid conceptual and practical knowledge in primary technical job family and knowledge of related technical job families; has worked with a range of technologies.
