Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software focused on mitigating a full range of external and internal access-related security risks within Search.
- Contribute to the codebase by authoring technical design documents, writing well-tested code, and participating in code reviews and debugging to ensure system reliability.
- Participate in team planning to translate the team's high-level technical goals and strategy into actionable engineering tasks that align with quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Work closely with peer engineers, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and other stakeholders to deliver on project milestones and provide regular progress updates.
- Foster a collaborative and safe environment by communicating effectively, valuing perspectives, and supporting your peers.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
- 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
- 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
- Experience in system design, system architecture, and large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience in implementing data privacy principles, secure data managing, or data governance frameworks.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational policy compliance programs.
- Experience in analyzing data sets using database and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
