Position Overview
Join the QuestaSim R&D team and contribute to core algorithmic advances and software design for one of the industry's most widely used simulation platforms. You'll collaborate with a senior group of software engineers on production-quality components, new simulation engines, and algorithm improvements. In this role, you'll work on challenging problems that directly impact how designers verify their products globally. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while working independently and mentoring others in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop core algorithmic advances and contribute to software architecture for QuestaSim simulation engines
- Design and implement new components and simulation algorithms at production-quality standards
- Collaborate with senior software engineers to enhance existing code and build new simulation capabilities
- Work independently on assigned technical challenges while contributing to team objectives
- Guide and mentor other engineers toward successful project completion
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical discussions on design decisions
- Optimize performance and scalability of simulation algorithms and data structures
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related field from a recognized engineering institution
- 12+ years of software development experience
- Strong knowledge of C/C++, algorithms, and data structures
- Proficiency with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms
- Familiarity with compiler concepts and optimizations
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work independently
Preferred:
- Understanding of digital electronics concepts
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and their implementation
- Proficiency in hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
- Experience with parallel algorithms and job distribution techniques
- Exposure to simulation or formal verification methodologies
- Experience with performance optimization and algorithm design
