Software Engineer, Full Stack, Kids and Families Product

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The Kids and Families Compliance team's mission is to build robust infrastructure and essential primitives that enable the Kids and Families (K&F) organization and other Google services to effectively implement compliance and regulatory requirements for minors. Additionally, we directly implement compliance solutions as needed. Our team operates with agility across the software stack, responding swiftly to evolving regulations while simultaneously constructing foundational infrastructure.

In this role, you will have a strong technical foundation and a passion for enhancing experiences for Kids and Families at Google. You'll play a key role in developing the core infrastructure that manages the right state for these users. This includes building the integration pathways for clients solutions and empower Kids and Families to address critical regulatory requirements for minors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a broad team of engineers to build scalable infrastructure and solutions that integrate seamlessly across various Google services.
• Design and implement core infrastructure and innovative solutions enabling Google to create engaging and compliant experiences for kids and minors.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, UX, and QA teams to drive the successful delivery of high-profile product launches.
• Contribute to and own critical components within our established global team (Belo Horizonte, Mountain View, Munich) ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java or Kotlin)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with server platform, Flume, web applications, Java, Kotlin.
