The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,400 - $175,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Position reports to the Google Mountain View, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop product or system code for assigned sub-tasks and address scoped technical debt to enhance code health.
• Collaborate with stakeholders via code reviews to ensure best practices regarding accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Execute comprehensive testing and improve monitoring infrastructure to support long-term system maintainability and scalability.
• Triage and resolve system issues by analyzing root causes and their impact on hardware and service operations.
• Maintain technical documentation and educational content by adapting materials based on product updates and user feedback. Apply foundational Generative AI concepts to assist in the implementation of basic multi-modal solutions.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
• Position requires 1 year of experience in the following: Software development using Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript; Design algorithms to improve system scale and efficiency; Diagnose and triage system issues using root cause analysis; Extract relevant information from code in core languages; and Perform validity, verification, and performance testing.
