Software Engineer – AI Adoption (all levels) (m/f/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

We are looking for a software engineer to join the AI Adoption team at Gigafactory Berlin.

The mission of the team is to drive AI adoption in factory operations: build agents and AI-first applications with deep AI integration, put them in the hands of the people who use them, and deliver the solutions that move the business forward. This is delivery work, not maintenance. You will own projects, contribute ideas, and make an impact on how the factory operates.

Our engineers are hands-on. You take on challenging operational problems, work directly with stakeholders, drill into what is actually going on, and ship. You take AI-first applications through to production, including evaluation and test cases as a normal part of building agents. You will collaborate with stakeholders and team members, using your technical expertise and your understanding of user and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to understand operational problems and turn them into working software
• Build, ship, and operate agents and AI-first applications with deep AI integration
• Write evaluations and test cases for agents as part of shipping
• Build and run applications and agents that are secure and compliant at enterprise scale
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders; take work through to a working outcome
• Improve and extend existing AI-first applications as business needs change
• Be flexible, responsive, and adaptive to changing requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work with the business, drill into complex problems, and drive them to a solution
• Hands-on experience building agents: you have set up agents and shipped agentic software, not only used AI as a consumer
• Experience building and refining software products at enterprise scale, including their design and operation
• Hands-on software development experience using TypeScript, including React frontends, or Python
• Understanding of how to build secure applications and secure agents
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience with Redis and ClickHouse is a plus
• Full professional proficiency in English; German is a plus
• Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes is a plus
