Description
The Accessibility team at Risk is seeking talented engineers to build automated solutions that identify and address accessibility problems across Meta's apps. In this role, you will develop automated detectors and testing frameworks to replace manual accessibility testing workflows, enabling Meta product developers to ship accessible experiences more efficiently. You'll create streamlined developer tools and infrastructure that make accessibility testing seamless and scalable. Responsibilities
Design and build automated detectors to identify common accessibility issues across Meta's mobile applications Develop and maintain testing frameworks for mobile codebases that enable scalable accessibility validation Create streamlined developer tools and workflows that integrate accessibility testing into the development lifecycle Collaborate with product teams to understand accessibility requirements and translate them into automated solutions Analyze accessibility patterns and optimize detection algorithms for accuracy and performance Drive initiatives to reduce manual accessibility testing through automation and tooling improvements Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers on accessibility engineering practices Establish ownership of accessibility testing infrastructure with end-to-end understanding of the systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Experience building testing frameworks or automation tools for mobile codebases Programming experience in relevant languages such as Java, Swift, Kotlin, or similar Experience driving technical projects and implementing solutions across teams Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience with accessibility standards, guidelines, or accessibility testing tools Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Experience with mobile development platforms (iOS, Android) Experience building large-scale testing infrastructure or developer tools Experience improving quality through code reviews, testing strategies, and proactive tooling improvements
