Software Engineer 2
Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.
Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.
Within Microsoft Fabric, the Real-Time Intelligence team enables organizations to act on data as it happens. By combining real-time ingestion, streaming, event processing, and observability signals, the team delivers capabilities that help customers detect patterns, respond to events, and drive immediate action. These experiences are tightly integrated into Fabric to support modern applications and operational decision-making in real time.
Microsoft Fabric Eventhouse is a key component of Fabric's Real-Time Intelligence capabilities, enabling organizations to ingest, store, analyze, and act on high-volume, time-sensitive data and events at scale.
Eventhouse builds on Microsoft's deep expertise in real-time analytics and the Kusto Query Language (KQL), providing powerful capabilities for scenarios involving streaming data, operational telemetry, logs, IoT, application monitoring, and other time-sensitive workloads. As Microsoft Fabric continues to grow its adoption globally, Eventhouse is playing an increasingly important role in enabling customers to build real-time and event-driven analytics solutions.
Join the Microsoft Fabric team and be part of transforming how businesses around the world understand and respond to their data in real time. You will work on challenging problems at the intersection of distributed systems, large-scale data processing, cloud services, and real-time analytics, while helping shape experiences that enable customers to make faster and more informed decisions.
In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of engineering initiatives within Microsoft Fabric Eventhouse, working across the team and with partner engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and performant real-time analytics capabilities. You will solve complex technical problems, contribute to architectural and design decisions, and drive features from concept through implementation and deployment.
We do not just value differences or different perspectives. We seek them out and invite them in so we can tap into the collective power of everyone in the company. As a result, our customers are better served
