Software Development Manager
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of the world's largest and most advanced cloud network. The organization develops the software that underpins the entire lifecycle of this network, from initial capacity planning and hardware deployment to decommissioning and replacement. It tackles complex engineering challenges at an unprecedented scale, including automating the deployment of thousands of network devices across more than 30 geographic regions, orchestrating real-time configuration changes without customer impact, and building intelligent systems that anticipate and respond to demand. This work is critical to ensuring that hundreds of millions of active customers and millions of developers worldwide experience the seamless, reliable connectivity they expect from AWS.
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions that address complex technical and business challenges. In this role, you will lead and develop engineering talent, drive technical excellence, and oversee the delivery of reliable, high-quality software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define priorities, establish technical direction, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience. You will thrive in an inclusive environment that encourages innovation, ownership, and end-to-end execution. If you are passionate about building high-performing teams, solving complex engineering problems, and delivering impactful software solutions at scale, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.
