Join our Quality Engineering team as an SDET and help scale a reliable, efficient, and consistent automated testing ecosystem across engineering teams.You will manage automated test execution in the Lamdatest test environment, maintain and improve automation frameworks, troubleshoot failures, and strengthen CI/CD quality practices. This role focuses on enabling teams to execute, maintain, and improve automated testing rather than developing individual test cases.

What you'll do

Test Execution and Reliability

  • Manage automated test execution in the Lamdatest test environment.
  • Monitor test runs and investigate recurring, intermittent, and flaky failures.
  • Support regression, integration, end-to-end, and release validation activities.
  • Improve test execution speed, stability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Reduce test duplication and identify opportunities to expand automation coverage.

Automation Platforms and Frameworks

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation frameworks.
  • Integrate automated tests into shared execution workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Standardize framework usage, test tagging, test organization, and execution patterns.
  • Improve test reporting, dashboards, notifications, and test health visibility.
  • Maintain test environments, test data, configuration, dependencies, and execution infrastructure.

Cross-Functional Quality Engineering

  • Analyze failures across application, automation, environment, data, and infrastructure layers.
  • Partner with developers and platform teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Improve application testability and increase release confidence.
  • Implement and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support post-release validation and investigations involving testing or test environments.
  • Document setup procedures, execution workflows, troubleshooting steps, and operational guidelines.
  • Improve the quality engineering platform and developer experience through continuous process and tooling enhancements.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in SDET, test automation, quality engineering, or a similar engineering role.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing automated test frameworks.
  • Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
  • Experience with API automation and validation using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
  • Experience managing automated test execution in shared or non-production environments.
  • Strong understanding of automation architecture, execution strategies, and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience implementing or supporting automated quality gates.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, automation, environment, and infrastructure layers.
  • Ability to influence and support multiple engineering teams without directly owning their codebases.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Playwright or other modern automation frameworks.
  • Experience managing automated test execution in a centralized test environment.
  • Experience with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with flaky test detection, retry strategies, parallel execution, and test reporting.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL and database validation.
  • Experience managing test data, service dependencies, environment configuration, or containerized execution.
  • Exposure to observability, logging, monitoring, and debugging tools.
  • Experience standardizing automation practices across multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and quality engineering practices.
