Software Development Engineer, AWS Contract Onboarding
Are you excited to build with GenAI at the center of how you work? The AWS Contract Onboarding team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to build automated audit and control systems that protect billions of dollars in AWS revenue - embracing Prompt Driven Development and LLM-powered tooling to solve problems faster and turn manual, error-prone contract operations into reliable automation.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will own all aspects of the software development lifecycle - design, architecture, implementation, testing, and operations. Your team builds the audit, controls-validation, and workflow-automation systems that ensure human-managed private pricing agreements are accurate, compliant, and efficient at global scale. GenAI is core to how we build: you'll practice Prompt Driven Development to accelerate design, implementation, and problem-solving.
In this role, you will…
On a typical day, you might use Prompt Driven Development to rapidly prototype a new automated audit for a particular contract type, generate an LLM-assisted validation guardrail, debug a distributed event-processing issue, or deep-dive into audit results to root-cause a discrepancy before it impacts a customer. GenAI is part of your everyday toolkit - you'll lean on it to move faster and raise the bar on what you ship. We move fast, own what we build, and measure our impact in errors prevented and hours automated.
About the team
Our team builds software that ensures accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation across the human-managed private pricing contract lifecycle. We enable comprehensive automated audits, controls-validation systems, and operational-flow automation that safeguard how AWS's largest customers are billed. We're an early and enthusiastic adopter of GenAI to reimagine what was previously manual, error-prone contract operations as fast, reliable, automated systems.
Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit https://amazon.jobs/content/en/how-we-hire/accommodations for more information.
