About the job:
Influences, designs, develops, understands business domain and tests full software systems or platforms for new/existing software solutions. Develops software and tools in support of manufacturing operations and automation, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Uses current and or proposes new technologies, software architectures, writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a Software Engineer, some of your responsibilities include:

  • Requirements definition, design, development, test, integration, and support of software to support semiconductor manufacturing teams (e.g. software frameworks, algorithmic libraries etc.) 
  • Following established software development methodology and practices defined for the business and propose improvements 
  • Collaborate with machine learning and data engineers to implement algorithms to edge applications, which may include using AI coding assistant to develop  software
  • Defining architecture requirements from a software usage, compatibility, performance, and reuse potential perspectives
  • Creating and maintaining customer deliverables and timelines
  • Working closely with TI teams (business units, quality, technology development, data platforms, data engineers, machine learning engineers, AI engineers) as part of the normal software life-cycle
  • Quality assurance and configuration/release management

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge and command of a programming language 
  • Experience with common software development paradigms OOP, CQRS, Event Driven Architectures, etc.
  • Experience with developing, managing, and testing distributed software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor or discrete manufacturing environments
  • Experience in developing software solutions using Python, JavaScipt, Java, etc. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD workflows including solutions such as bitbucket, jenkins, argo, kubernetes, etc.
