Software Development Engineer
Join Nokia's SDK team and play a key role in developing next-generation Software Development Kits (SDKs) for advanced DSP ASICs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including ASIC, Firmware, Hardware Design, and Architecture, to drive innovation across the entire product lifecycle. From pre-silicon development through post-silicon validation, you will help ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into industry-leading pluggable products.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- 2-4 years of experience in software development using C/C++.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in Linux environments.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and embedded software concepts.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, networking protocols, DSP, ASICs, or telecommunications is a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

- Build innovative SDK software that powers Nokia's next-generation coherent DSP ASICs and optical networking solutions
- Develop high-performance C/C++ software on Linux platforms for cutting-edge networking products.
- Work with industry-leading ASIC, firmware, hardware, and architecture teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from pre-silicon development to post-silicon validation.
- Solve complex technical challenges involving hardware-software interaction, performance optimisation, and system integration.
- Contribute to advanced SDK APIs, software frameworks, and automation solutions that enable faster product development and deployment.
- Drive software quality through testing, debugging, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver innovative technologies that power the future of networking.
Salary Range: Canada salary ranges: CAD 78,000 to CAD 115,000 plus potential benefits
