Software Development Engineer, ADSP
As a software engineer in the Targeting organization, you'll be at the forefront of building privacy-safe solutions that make ads more relevant for shoppers and more effective for advertisers. We're building new functionality that simplifies how advertisers set up campaigns, in a policy and regulatory compliant way. You'll own the end-to-end customer experience, contributing to product direction while building the APIs, services, data models, and user interfaces that bring it to life.
Key job responsibilities
• You will work as part of an Agile team at our development centre in Edinburgh, Scotland, launching and growing new initiatives for Amazon's global websites.
• Your team will own the business, technology and operations, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success.
• You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to software development across a variety of technologies.
• Your systems will meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability, and will operate at massive scale, 24x7.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
