This role is onsite in Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available).
Prime Air is building an ultra-fast delivery platform targeting 500 million packages per year by the end of the decade. We're looking for a Software Configuration Control Specialist with strong technical, research, and analytical skills and a track record of getting the right things done quickly and effectively. You'll work alongside Software Development Engineers, System Engineers, and Hardware Development Engineers across a broad range of technical areas to enable software configuration management across this ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
· Facilitate software change/configuration management activities, including change control (running Change Control Board), configuration status accounting, baselining, and releasing the software development lifecycle data
· Ensure programs adhere to industry software configuration management standards and methodologies
· Develop and create the Software Configuration Index per the software release cycle and release the Software Life Cycle Data
· Support TPMs in planning, tracking progress, and adjusting scope to meet program milestones and goals via Software Configuration Status Accounting
· Support production fleet and next generation product Config transitions
· Drive Configuration & Change Management process improvement (Tier 2 focus area)
· Configuration control and maintain the Software Life Cycle Data via their data control categories (CC1 vs. CC2)
· Support Software Quality Assurance audit activities

The Configuration Management, Facilities & Infrastructure Tools (CMFIT) team defines, deploys, and refines the process controls and tooling behind Prime Air's manufacture, qualification, operations, and configuration management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in an aerospace or highly regulated environment
  • 3+ years of experience in software configuration management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in STEM
  • Experience building frameworks for creating complex applications with simplified tools
  • Experience with DO-178C Software Configuration Management
  • Familiarity with EIA-649 / EIA-649C; CM2 certification a plus
  • Experience working within aerospace regulatory environments
  • Change management process design and execution
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA/EASA audit trail requirements
  • Experience in a production-rate environment (not just R&D/prototype

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
