Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Smart Manufacturing Solution Sales Executive to drive growth and expand customer relationships across the United States while supporting strategic opportunities in North America and EMEA. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for Smart Manufacturing, smart warehouse, robotics, and automation solutions that help customers accelerate digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, and modernize supply chain and manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, partners, and Lenovo's global offering, delivery, and leadership teams to identify new opportunities, lead complex solution sales, and deliver innovative automation and intelligent manufacturing solutions. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that requires deep industry expertise, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with executive and operational stakeholders across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain organizations.
This position is home-based and can be located anywhere within the United States, with approximately 50% travel required to support customer engagements, active projects, and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Market Development
- Lead business development and sales efforts for Lenovo’s Smart Manufacturing solutions among industrial and manufacturing customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and help customers accelerate digitalization and intelligence across their manufacturing value chain.
Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans and visit schedules to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Manage full-cycle sales activities from prospecting, qualification, and proposal to negotiation and closure.
Complex Solution Selling
- Collaborate closely with product, solution, and delivery teams to tailor end-to-end digital transformation solutions that address customer needs.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable technical and business outcomes through consultative selling.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships and consultant with CXO-level and operational stakeholders across manufacturing enterprises.
- Provide continuous feedback on customer pain points, industry trends, and emerging opportunities to refine Lenovo’s solution portfolio.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Project Leadership
- Coordinate internal and external resources effectively in large-scale engagements to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Represent Lenovo at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in Smart Manufacturing and Robotics.
Role Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional work experience
- 10+ years of direct sales experience working with major customers in the manufacturing, warehouse and logistics sectors.
- 5+ years in complex solution sales for large enterprises, with 3 or more successful deals valued at $10M+ each.
Preferred Requirements:
- Understand and deeply engaged with the local industrial ecosystem, established network with customers, solution providers, delivery and maintenance service providers in the warehousing industry.
- Proven experience in any of the following domains preferred:
- Understand Manufacturing business processes
- Understand and familiar with WES / WMS solutions and partner eco systems
- AI systems: Computer Vision, Big Data Analytics, Digital Twins
- Automation systems: Robotics such as 4-way shuttle, AGV, AGF, Digital Twin, Industrial IoT
Sales & Consultative Skills
- Strong consultative selling ability - able to independently conduct product and solution presentations, identify needs, and guide customers through digital transformation journeys.
- Excellent opportunity qualification, value articulation, and deal-closure skills.

- Good understanding of emerging technologies such as Cloud, AI, IoT, Industrial Automation, and Digital Supply Chains.
- Prior experience in consulting, pre-sales, or digital transformation planning projects will be an advantage.
