System Engineer – Commissioning Engineering
Role Overview
Responsible for commissioning activities for Substation Automation / Feeder Automation, covering RTU, SCADA/HMI, and Network at domestic and international project sites.
Travel Requirement: 90%
Experience:
- B.Tech/BE: 3–5 years
- Diploma: 4–6 years
Technical Competency
Must Have
- Knowledge of PC Networking, Switches, Routers, GPS, and Firewalls.
- Knowledge of Substation Automation covering Process Level, Bay Level, and Control Level.
- Knowledge of Substation Communication Protocols: Modbus, T101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, OPC, including configuration and analysis of these protocols using relevant applications and tools.
- Knowledge of Operating Systems & Tools: Windows, PC applications, PC communication, serial/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools: Modscan, IEC Tester, IED Scout, Wireshark.
- Experience with Siemens SICAM solutions such as SICAM PAS/PQS, ToolBox, WinCC, SCC, SDM will be an added advantage.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Network Diagnosis and Cyber Security.
- Scripting knowledge and programming experience using IEC 61131-3 and SQL.
- Knowledge of IED Scout and IEC Browser for signal simulation and diagnosis.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction.
- Well-behaved, professional, and dedicated approach to work.
- Planning and execution of site commissioning activities in coordination with external and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation such as SAT Reports, Timesheets, MOM, Site Completion Certificates, and Site As-Built documentation.
