Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. The GPU Silicon Prototype Engineer is responsible for running specified tests on appropriate emulation builds, debugging issues, and reporting status. This involves participating in debug of systems by capturing waveforms and writing triggers, architecting builds for emulation, bringing up and supporting regular builds of emulation models, and debugging build issues. They must support Software Verification by interfacing emulation with virtual systems and simulation environments. They leverage emulation capabilities to accelerate Silicon bring-up. They respond to and work with vendor field service and application engineers to address simulation and emulation HW/SW issues. They work with pre-Silicon verification teams to develop and implement support plans. They architect and implement transactors between software test bench and emulation hardware. They explore and develop new technologies and methodologies to leverage simulation, emulation, and hardware acceleration for new applications. This role also involves creating automation infrastructure to enhance the efficiency with which emulation model builds and test regressions are executed. 40 hours/week.
