Shipping & Receiving Coordinator (Afternoon Shift)
Description
Tesla Toronto Automation builds automated equipment to support the assembly of Tesla products around the world. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will primarily receive materials from external suppliers and internal off-site locations, ensure that the correct materials are received in good order, approve invoices, and move them into our warehouse, shop floor, and office. They will also pack and load items for shipment to off-site locations, ensuring that the correct parts are safe and secure, and ready in a timely fashion. The candidate will be cross trained to support other Inventory Dept duties as needed by the business. They will interact with employees of all levels in different areas of our factory and organization.
Shift: Monday-Thursday; 3:30PM - 1:00AM, Friday; 2:30PM to 11:00PM
The afternoon shift includes a 10% shift premium. Please note work hours may be adjusted depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, inspect, count and stock materials, as well as verify, pack, ship, load outgoing materials according to company procedure
- Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, carts, pallets, racks, for movement or storage, by hand or using powered equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed material records and logs
- Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts
- During business hours, respond to calls and inquiries concerning materials, shipping, receiving or other logistics related activities
- Adhering to strict 5S standards and proper safety practices in all work areas, and maintain close adherence to safety standards (e.g., PPE, proper conveyance equipment etiquette, etc.)
- Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the business
Requirements
- 3–5 years manufacturing inventory experience preferred; valid forklift certificate required
- Experience operating counterbalance and regular forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies required; reach truck preferred
- Able to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs., climb and reach regularly, and stand or walk most of the shift
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines
- Basic computer skills including Word, simple Excel formulas, business email, and accurate ERP data entry required
- Collaborate across all factory levels, deliver excellent customer service, and take on other duties as assigned
- Excellent written and verbal communication, reliable attendance, and willingness to work overtime as needed

Expected Compensation
- Shipping Coordinator II - $23.76 - $35.64/hour
- Shipping Coordinator III - $27.72 - $41.58/hour
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
