Shift Coordinator, Data Creators (SP)
Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA, and is establishing its first data operations site in Brazil.
We are building the data foundation that powers our humanoid robots. The Data Operations team creates and curates the training data our AI systems learn from, and the Data Creators organization owns how that data gets captured, at what volume, and to what standard, across our sites.
As a Shift Coordinator, you'll run day-to-day collection operations for an assigned shift. You own the floor while your shift is running: sequencing capture work across Data Creators and stations, resolving in-the-moment issues, and making sure the shift hits its coverage and output targets.
Schedule: This is a 24/7 operation staffed across multiple rotating shifts (Day, Swing, and Night). Specific hours are listed below. Some flexibility for rotation may be required.
- Day Shift: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Swing Shift: 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm
- Night Shift: 11:00 pm to 8:00 am
Responsibilities:
- Run day-to-day collection operations for your shift against volume and quality targets.
- Sequence and assign capture work across Data Creators and stations, adjusting in real time as priorities change.
- Resolve in-the-moment hardware, capture, staffing, and facilities issues; escalate blockers that outlast the shift.
- Ensure shift coverage: manage breaks, absences, and rotation so capture stations stay staffed.
- Run structured shift handoffs, documenting output, open issues, and equipment status for the incoming shift.
- Enforce SOP adherence and safety and ergonomic guidelines on the floor.
- Partner with Project Coordinators and the Data Quality team to catch and resolve issues at data creation time.
- Report shift output, downtime, and recurring issues to site leadership.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years in operations, production, logistics, or shift supervision, with experience running a team's day-to-day execution.
- Experience coordinating people and priorities in real time in a fast-moving physical environment.
- Comfort making quick decisions with incomplete information, and judgment on when to escalate.
- Clear communication; able to run clean handoffs and keep accurate shift records.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends (night premium applies).
- Professional working proficiency in English (SOPs, dashboards, and escalations involve US-based teams).
Bonus Qualifications:
- Background in robotics, autonomous systems, motion capture, or physical AI data.
- Familiarity with motion capture or wearable sensor hardware.
- Experience in high-growth startup operations.
- Prior experience in 24/7 or multi-shift operations.
Compensation:
- Base salary: R$ 7,000 to R$ 10,000 per month
- Benefits: Transport and meal allowance, health plan
