Senior Applications Engineer – Solido Characterization Suite (f/m/d)

Position Overview
You'll work directly with our customers to help them adopt and use Solido software in their library characterization and verification workflows. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills and an understanding of the business value our products deliver.
You'll manage multiple customer engagements at the same time, working at both technical and management levels. You'll partner closely with our sales team to develop solutions to customer challenges and drive product revenue growth. Success means collaborating effectively with sales, marketing, and R&D.
As a Senior Applications Engineer, you'll bring several years of hands-on experience with library characterization, Liberty data, SPICE simulation, or static timing analysis (STA). Prior semiconductor industry experience or Applications Engineer background is expected for this senior-level role.
Key Responsibilities
You'll drive adoption of our Solido Characterization Suite by:
• Working with technical teams at semiconductor companies to understand their challenges and help solve problems using Solido products
- Demonstrating the value of Siemens EDA software through product evaluations, technical presentations, and benchmark studies
- Supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities—assessing how our products meet customer needs, developing custom solutions, and supporting sales presentations
- Building business for Solido by using your technical expertise to work with customers at the appropriate management levels
- Helping our R&D teams understand customer feedback and requests to improve our products
- Contributing to the product technical sales plan and keeping management informed of progress and account status
- Presenting complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences, from engineers to executives
Qualifications
You'll bring:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with library characterization, static timing analysis, or chip design and simulation - or equivalent
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a similar field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a genuine commitment to customer service
- The ability to break down complex technical topics and explain them clearly to different audiences
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to adapt quickly
- Solid experience working in Linux environments and with Python programming
- Flexibility to work with customers across different time zones globally and travel to the US, Asia, and Europe as needed

Our Benefits & Rewards
The total cash compensation range for this position is EUR 90,100 to EUR 180,200 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target (100% achievement). The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
