Amazon is looking for a Senior Vendor Manager to own highly strategic vendors in a key growth category of the dynamic Toy's business.

The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for the total P&L for a segment of the Toy's business (Retail), including setting and executing the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with selling partners, managing profitability, optimizing business inputs and outputs, and delivering our vision for our customer experience. This includes identifying potential new brand opportunities, partnering with selling partners to build comprehensive joint business plans, and innovating the customer experience.

The right candidate stays on top of market segment and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. The candidate should have experience in building strong relationships, driving top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for how things work, a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers, and strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. A successful candidate should be able to define and drive long-term objectives and strategy for the business. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. The Senior Vendor Manager is an effective leader, communicator, and a seasoned problem-solver.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management

- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
