Senior Strategic Partnership & Account Manager, DACH Retail, Amazon Devices
At Amazon Devices & Services, we imagine the future, and then create it. Join brilliant minds to build new categories of technology that become part of everyone's everyday life. Together, we create connected experiences and transform lives, communities, and the world with our work.
The Devices team for the DACH region is looking for a Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager. As a Sr. Account Manager, you will be the face of Amazon Devices to several of Europe's largest consumer electronics retailers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will shape how Amazon Devices, including Echo, Fire TV, Kindle and many more, reach customers in physical stores, and you will be accountable for the sales, the plan and the relationship behind them. Picture a customer in a consumer electronics store in Munich, Vienna or Zurich. They pick up a Kindle, ask an adviser how Alexa works, and walk out with an Echo for the kitchen. That moment is made by the partnerships you will own.
You will work with partners that are as ambitious as we are, in a category where customers increasingly expect their devices to work well together. You will decide where to focus, back those decisions with data, and bring colleagues from across Amazon along with you.
Key job responsibilities
You might start the morning with a review of last week's sales and promotional performance, and send a partner's category team two priorities for the coming week. Before lunch you could be in a store with a partner's regional team, looking at how a new display performs against what customers actually do. In the afternoon you might be with colleagues from Marketing and Supply Chain, finalising the launch plan for a new device. Later you could be reviewing margin and promotional spend against plan with Finance, or on a call with a partner to align on next quarter's joint plan. The mix changes week to week, and so do the priorities. Some days are execution-focused: running the plan, solving problems with the partners and the field team, and making sure launches land. Other days are deeply strategic, spent on long-term planning for the partnerships and where they should be in two or three years. You will be comfortable moving between the two, and you will decide how to spend your time based on where you can create the most value for customers and for the partnerships.
About the team

Our Retail team in EU takes those products to customers where they like to shop, working in close partnership with retailers to deliver a great experience in stores and online.
You will join a team that values curiosity, high standards and sharing what works. We are a diverse group of people from different countries, backgrounds and ways of thinking. We invent, we simplify, and we hold ourselves and each other to a high bar. If you want to help build something new in a fast-moving business and are comfortable taking considered risks, Amazon Devices is a place where you can do your best work.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the partnerships. Act as the single point of accountability for Amazon Devices at our largest DACH retail partners. Build trusted relationships across multiple teams, including commercial, marketing, supply chain and distributors, up to senior leadership, in each of the three countries.
- Lead the field team and vendors. Manage the field team and the external vendors who support us in delivering for customers in stores. Set clear priorities, hold a high bar, and make sure their work drives sales for the partner and for Amazon.
- Set the strategy and the plan. Develop and deliver the annual joint business plans with the partners. They cover sales targets, assortment, pricing and promotions, marketing, and in-store execution, and they balance long-term growth against short-term results.
- Own the financials. Be accountable for the sales, margin and investment plan across the DACH retail partners. Set and forecast the sales targets, manage the promotional, marketing and trade budgets, and track return on that investment. Make clear trade-offs between growth and profitability, and take responsibility for delivering the plan and for explaining any gap to it.
- Negotiate. Lead commercial negotiations and agree terms that work for the partner and for Amazon, with a clear view of what each term means for sales, margin and long-term value.
- Grow the partner base. Build the case for, and bring on, new retail partners in the region, including in Switzerland. Own the business case, the commercial terms, the onboarding and the launch plan for each, so that new partners reach the customer quickly and profitably.
- Launch with impact. Coordinate go-to-market for new products and major events. This includes shaping launch timelines around retail channel requirements and making sure the plan is carried out well across stores and online.
- Drive performance with data. Review sales, inventory, forecasts, margin and promotional performance with the partner on a regular rhythm. Spot opportunities and risks early, and agree clear actions with the partner and Amazon’s internal teams.
- Run business reviews. Prepare and lead regular business reviews with the partners, and write the plans, forecasts and narratives behind them for Amazon's senior leaders. Use the reviews to move long-term initiatives forward and to deepen the collaboration.
- Represent Amazon, and represent the partner at Amazon. Present our devices and our plans to senior audiences with strong product knowledge. Bring the partner's priorities, and its customers' feedback, back to our product, marketing and supply chain teams.
- Test, learn and share. Pilot new in-store and online merchandising and marketing ideas with the partner. Scale what works, share lessons with Retail colleagues in other EU markets, and mentor colleagues who are earlier in their careers.
- Innovate and simplify, with AI. We are using AI to change how we work: automating recurring reporting and analysis, simplifying planning, and cutting the manual steps between a good idea and its execution. You will try new approaches, keep the ones that work, and help the team do the same. The aim is for more of your time to go to the partner and to long-term strategy, and less to routine tasks.
- Work across Amazon. Partner with Product, Channel Marketing, Supply Chain and Planning, Finance and Legal teams to deliver for the partners.
