Your Team, Your Impact
The Reliability Engineering Team is core part of the Marvell Quality organization and focuses on design for quality/reliability, qualification, reliability testing, supplier enablement and risk analysis of cutting edge products across all of Marvell’s Custom Compute, Data Center Interconnect, Cloud Optics, Enterprise, and Carrier business. What You Can Expect
We are looking for a talented engineer to own product qualification and reliability for Marvell’s optical products — silicon photonics light engines, co-packaged optics (CPO) assemblies and pluggable optical transceivers.
In this role you will prepare qualification plans, define and bring up qualification hardware, drive stress testing at internal and external labs, analyze reliability data and drive failure analysis to root cause.
• Generate product qualification plans and drive robust execution of qualification testing.
• Define the requirements for the qualification hardware (HTOL and BDH, BHAST board etc.) and interface with the subcontractors and test/product engineering groups for design, verification and delivery of the stress boards.
• Collaborate with design/package/product engineering teams to drive FMEA for product qualification and proactively drive activities to mitigate product reliability risks based on FMEA outputs.
• Communicate qualification plans, qualification status, and qualification results to internal teams, upper management and customers.
• Conduct reliability data analysis generated from product qualification and/or other reliability activities.
• Drive failure analysis activities resulting from product qualification and reliability stresses.
• Manage test subcontractors and vendors for the execution of product qualification tests.
• Collaborate with the PKG team to develop packaging solutions for the qualification of die products.
• Support qualification of new vendors for reliability, product qualification, assembly and test.
• Write internal and customer-facing product qualification reports.
• Analyze reliability data; predict product lifetime and maintain product FIT/MTBF estimates
• Support Ongoing Reliability Monitoring (ORM) activities and failure analysis.
What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in product qualification and reliability testing of optical or optoelectronic semiconductor products.
• Strong technical understanding of optical systems including semiconductor lasers, silicon photonic devices, co-packaged or near-package optics, pluggable transceivers, etc.
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor components, assembly and advanced packaging technologies.
• Familiar with JEDEC, Telcordia (GR-468), and MIL-STD qualification standard and the Physics behind these requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of stress testing methodologies (HTOL, DH, HAST, TC, HTS, ESD, LU, etc).
• Experience with reliability data analysis and Statistical data analysis.
• Experience in the use of JMP, Minitab or ReliaSoft
• Experience automating data collection / processing with python scripting; AI tools is a plus.
