Our Open Finance business enables consumers to securely share and use their financial data while helping lenders make faster, more accurate decisions with less friction. We work with mortgage lenders, technology providers, loan origination platforms, and ecosystem partners to modernize the mortgage journey through verified data and digital experiences.

As mortgage lending evolves toward a more connected, API-driven ecosystem, Mastercard is helping lenders replace manual verification processes with trusted consumer-permissioned data that supports faster approvals, improved compliance, and better borrower experiences.

The Mortgage Solutions Product Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Mastercard's Open Finance and mortgage verification products used across the mortgage origination ecosystem. This role is for someone who combines mortgage industry expertise, business analysis, systems analysis, and product execution capabilities. They will serve as a bridge between customers, industry platforms, product teams, engineering teams, and implementation partners to ensure Mastercard solutions continue to meet evolving market needs.

Familiarity with mortgage origination workflows, mortgage technology platforms, and lender operational processes will be important. The Product Analyst will monitor industry and platform changes, support client-facing product enhancements, assist with technical remediation efforts, and help shape future innovations that expand the use of verified consumer data in mortgage lending.

Roles & Responsibilities

Mortgage Industry & Market Expertise
  • Maintain deep knowledge of mortgage origination, underwriting, verification, fulfillment processes, and the technology ecosystem supporting them.
  • Monitor mortgage technology providers, loan origination systems (LOS), point-of-sale (POS) platforms, GSE initiatives, industry standards, and emerging market trends to identify risks, impacts, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze how lenders leverage income, asset, employment, identity, and other verification solutions throughout the mortgage lifecycle, translating industry developments into actionable product recommendations.
Product Development & Delivery
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, customer, regulatory, and platform requirements, translating them into product enhancements and technical specifications.
  • Partner with Product Managers to define and maintain business requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process maps, integration documentation, release plans, and product roadmaps.
  • Support agile product development activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, release validation, and implementation of readiness.
  • Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automation, and customer outcomes.
Customer Support & Technical Analysis
  • Act as a liaison between business, technical, and operational stakeholders (Engineering, Client Success, Sales and Legal Compliance) to support successful product delivery and adoption.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer issues through troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, testing, and validation activities.
  • Support mortgage customers through product enhancements, platform changes, integrations, and operational transitions, ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Innovation & Strategic Growth
  • Evaluate emerging mortgage technologies, lender workflows, competitive solutions, and verification use cases to inform product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to leverage consumer-permissioned financial data to improve borrower experiences, underwriting accuracy, operational efficiency, and lending outcomes.
  • Contribute market intelligence, customer insights, go-to-market readiness activities, training materials, operational documentation, and client communications that support successful product adoption and growth.
All About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent experience in field.
  • Professional experience in: Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Analysis, Product Operations, Mortgage Technology and/or Mortgage Lending Operations.
  • Experience working with mortgage lenders, mortgage technology providers, fintechs, or financial institutions.
  • POS: Blend, nCino Mortgage, ICE Consumer Connect,
  • LOS: ICE Mortgage Technology (Encompass), Dark Matter Empower, MeridianLink Mortgage
  • Understanding of mortgage origination and underwriting workflows.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work across both business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with mortgage verification solutions, borrower-permissioned data, Open Banking, or Open Finance.
  • Familiarity with GSE initiatives, MISMO standards, and mortgage industry data standards.
  • Experience writing business requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Background working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering teams.
  • Supporting customer implementations, integrations, or technical troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of API-based products and financial services integrations.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
