With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical roadmap driving priority Search Personalization Quality components across AI Mode and apply them in AI Overviews.
  • Solve personalization triggering problems by understanding the intersection of query intent, user context, and real-world context to expand Personal Intelligence reach across eligible search queries.
  • Improve personalization response quality by designing and validating solutions for accurate personalization signals application via context engineering and ranking.
  • Work with the personalization evaluation team and AI Experience (AIX) quality team to accelerate personalization wins and benefit horizontal AIX quality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers and Analysts, and across organizations (Infrastructure, Evaluation, Trust, Search Platforms, and Verticals) to understand technical limitations and design solutions that drive personalization expansion and response quality.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++, Java, or Python.
  • 3 years of experience in developing search quality algorithms, ranking systems, or information retrieval models.
  • 3 years of experience in building, scaling, and deploying personalization algorithms or recommendation systems in production environments.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 1 year of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, and software development using Kotlin.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with quality changes for large-scale consumer features or products, including prior experience developing on Search infrastructure.
  • Ability to work on a central, high-visibility team, with deadlines driven by regulations and company-wide product initiatives.
