Senior Software Engineer
The Fabric professional data integration UX team creates functional, user-friendly data movement, orchestration, and transformation solutions to help large enterprises manage their complex systems.
As a Software Engineer, you will help lead critical projects across the platform. This opportunity will allow you to work closely with PM and design teams to understand customer requirements, UX practices, and alignment across data solutions.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Define technical vision and architecture for large systems.
- Lead cross-team engineering initiatives.
- Drive technical strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Make critical design and architecture decisions.
Software Development
- Design, build, and review scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Resolve highly complex technical issues.
- Optimize performance, availability, and operational excellence.
- Guide teams in implementing engineering practices.
Cross-Organization Impact
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Data Science, Security, and Engineering Leaders.
- Influence roadmaps across multiple organizations.
- Drive adoption of shared platforms and services.
- Lead major engineering investments.
Mentorship & Talent Development
- Mentor engineers.
- Raise the technical bar through code reviews and design reviews.
- Develop engineering talent and future technical leaders.
- Foster engineering culture and innovation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
