Senior Software EngineeroverviewThe Open Finance Analytics team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive our products forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about software optimization, intellectually curious, and a team player. The ideal candidate can take on projects with ambiguous details, communicate with stakeholders and other teams to arrive at a solution that is easily maintained, flexible to changing market needs, and scalable.
Role
In this position, you will:
- Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements
- Partner with Data Science and Product teams to identify business opportunities, solve problems, and deliver solutions.
- Program, test, document, and maintain applications in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices.
- Contribute ideas and actively look for opportunities to enhance the team standards and improve efficiency.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Has a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Has a solid understanding of software engineering concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Can evaluate and compare multiple technical solutions to determine the best approach for a given problem.
- Has experience across a broad range of architectures and technologies, with the ability to clearly explain and defend technical decisions.
- Is experienced in designing intuitive, flexible REST services.
- Has experience with SQL, Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, Python, and/or Golang—or demonstrates a strong willingness to learn Golang.
- Understands common software development tools and processes, including Git, unit and integration testing, code reviews, documentation, Jira, SCRUM ceremonies, Flyway, and VS Code.
- Communicates technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Works effectively as part of a geographically distributed team, including occasional meetings outside standard business hours.
- Has experience with React.js, Linux, hosting machine‑learning models, gRPC, MLflow, or Databricks.Corporate Security Responsibility

- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
