Senior Risk Analyst, KYC
As Marqeta's Risk Senior Analyst, KYC, you will play a critical role in protecting the integrity of Marqeta's card programs by owning consumer and business KYC compliance across our global issuing partnerships, directly reducing corporate risk and keeping Marqeta aligned with evolving regulatory standards. You'll be part of the Risk Operations team, a collaborative group that sits at the intersection of compliance, fraud prevention, and operational excellence. In this role, you'll independently investigate and resolve complex CIP/KYC issues, coordinate with issuing banks on EMEA and CAD compliance requirements, oversee US and global sanctions research, and drive process improvements that streamline how we work at scale.
This role can be performed in a hybrid work model (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) from our Warsaw office. We’d love for you to join us!
The Impact You’ll Have
- Independently resolve problems that require in depth investigation and/or research
- Conduct follow-up research on CIP/KYC issues
- Maintain or exceed established standards for customer service, and resolves complex issues with little or no supervision or direction
- Coordinates with Issuing Banks to ensure that Marqeta is compliant with their requirements for EMEA,CAD CIP/KYC/KYB; performs required CIP/KYC audits in compliance with bank requirements
- Practice using sound decision-making and discretion in making independent decisions that mitigate corporate risk at each decision point throughout the review.
- US and Global Sanctions research and oversight of the work performed by the BPO
- Identify process and/or system improvement initiatives and resolution in order to re-engineer and streamline workflow.
- Maintains a current understanding of and complies with Marqeta and Issuing Bank procedures and policies, including regulatory compliance issues related to BSA procedures and policies, GLBA, Dispute Resolution and Safeguarding Customer Information.
Who You Are
- 5 years related experience
- Proven ability to develop and implement efficient and effective business and consumer CIP/KYC processes
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through cross-functional, virtual teams
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
- Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email)
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently
- Skilled in G-Suite, Snowflake, SQL and Looker.
Nice-To-Haves
- Undergraduate level degree in STEM or business, finance or economics
- CAMS certification
- Card payment issuance, processor, program manager experience
- Knowledge of basic regulatory and compliance requirements in card payments space
- Knowledge of SQL

Compensation and Benefits
When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this full-time position, reflected in PLN, is: 156,000- 195,000.
The bonus target for this position is 10% of the applicable base salary, subject to the plan terms and meeting eligibility requirements.
