We are looking for a Senior AI Prompt Engineer & Agent Configuration Specialist to join our innovative team at Siemens. What will be your responsibilities?
- AI Prompt Engineering: Design, write, and optimize prompts, define agent roles, convert complex requirements into clear instructions, and iteratively improve prompts based on feedback.
- AI Agent Configuration: Create agent configurations, define tool-calling instructions, support the maintenance of AI agents, and recommend appropriate AI approaches.
- Process-to-Prompt Translation: Analyze business processes, collaborate with experts to capture decision logic, translate process knowledge into prompts, and identify human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
- Testing, Quality & Governance: Build test sets, evaluate output quality, detect issues, and document prompt versions and metrics.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced level of English (C1) for seamless daily communication, documentation, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Process Understanding: Basic understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, purchasing, or financial operations; experience in finance, shared services, procurement, or business operations is a strong advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JSON, Python, and full-stack application design.
- AI & Practical Experience: Strong understanding of AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), knowledge graphs, ontologies, and agentic AI, alongside practical experience developing and testing prompts for enterprise use cases.
- Tools & Technologies: Practical exposure to Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, or comparable AI technologies is a great advantage.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand and challenge business processes, process maps, and operating procedures.
- Personal Attributes: Structured approach, curiosity, precision regarding logic and edge cases, collaborative mindset, pragmatism, and responsibility toward quality and governance.
Note: The selection process will include a practical task (designing a system prompt and test scenarios based on a simplified process map).
