JOB TITLE: Engagement Delivery (Project Manager) Manager/Senior Manager

About the Role
We are looking to hire a number of Senior Project Managers/Project Managers/Engagement Delivery Senior Managers to join Salesforce Professional Services in London, supporting a major UK Public Sector programme. You will lead the delivery of complex, enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations for government and public sector customers. You will guide multidisciplinary project teams of technical and non-technical consultants, manage customer relationships, and make sure outcomes are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and act as an extension of the account team, helping customers realise the full value of Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams, giving clarity, motivation and direction throughout the engagement.
- Act as the primary customer interface, applying Salesforce delivery methodology, project gates and governance.
- Build and own project plans. Track progress and timelines, adjust schedules as needed, and resolve issues to deliver on time and on budget.
- Manage project resources, utilisation, budgets and financials, including timesheet approvals.
- Lead large projects, or several smaller interrelated projects, that need complex cross-functional teamwork.
- Run risk, issue, dependency and change management, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and help shape project deliverables and documentation.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and business sign-off.
- Manage delivery within public sector governance, assurance and reporting requirements. [confirm with Gregory]
- Support the account team in extending the Salesforce footprint.
Experience/Skillset Required
Essential:
- 5–7+ years of project management experience, including delivering external client projects.
- Direct responsibility for project delivery, budgets, and schedules, including managing project budgets of £500k+ and teams of 10–20+ people.
- Proven record of delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
- Ability to balance business and technical requirements when building project plans and estimates.
- Strong stakeholder management, including the ability to navigate complex client dynamics and difficult conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility team environment.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Desired (but not essential):
- Experience delivering projects for UK central government or public sector organizations (e.g., NHS, Home Office, DWP) is a big plus.
- Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe, or Scrum.
- Hands-on Salesforce delivery experience or CRM/enterprise SaaS implementation experience (nice to have, as platform training will be provided internally).
- Familiarity with UK public sector procurement frameworks and governance/assurance processes.
- Experience managing remote or distributed delivery teams.
- Existing Security Clearance (SC Clearance).
