Senior Program Manager
Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.
At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.
A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.
About Roblox Live
Roblox Live creates the moments that bring Roblox together. We turn music, entertainment, culture, and the creativity of our community into new ways to play and connect. From major platform celebrations to live performances and breakout creator moments, we give players something to show up for, experience with friends, and come back to.
We’re a small, fast-moving team with the ambition to shape the future of live experiences on Roblox. We bring ideas to life with creators and partners, build the technology that makes them possible, and turn what works into tools that let the creator community take it further.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to turn our slate of live experiences into a coordinated program. You will own the calendar, cross-team dependencies, budget ask, risk register, executive communications, and post-event playbooks. You will help shape new programs early, bringing ideas on formats and audience hooks, then build the plan that takes them through launch and learning.
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can turn ambiguity into a plan and lead across teams through trust and judgment. You’ll work closely with creative, content, product, engineering, marketing, safety, and external partners. You’ll align the program around shared goals, partner with the Live Ops Producer on launch readiness and event-day escalations, and give leadership a clear view of progress and decisions.
You Will:
- Turn the programming slate into a forward calendar with clear phases, milestones, decision gates, and owners. Manage dependencies and resource conflicts across events in concept, production, and live operation.
- Help define each program’s audience, goals, and success measures. Bring creative and operational judgment to early concepts, and make practical recommendations on scope, sequencing, and trade-offs.
- Build and maintain one shared view of program status. Establish how workstream owners update plans, track commitments, and resolve blockers across internal teams and partners.
- Run focused planning sessions, workstream reviews, and recaps that keep decisions moving. Partner with technical leads on feasibility and with the Live Ops Producer on readiness milestones.
- Consolidate staffing, studio, vendor, and production estimates into a program budget request. Partner with Finance and workstream owners to track commitments, spend, and changes against the approved plan.
- Maintain the risk register, including assumptions, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans. Assign owners, surface risks early, and recommend changes that protect the program’s goals and delivery dates.
- Give executives concise updates on outcomes, progress, risks, and decisions needed. Give workstream owners the detail they need to act, with clear commitments and next steps.
- Establish decision owners and escalation paths before launch. Support the Live Ops Producer during live events by resolving cross-team dependencies and coordinating leadership decisions and communications.
- Lead retrospectives and publish post-event readouts with Data Science and functional leads. Track program results, partner contributions, and creative concepts against the goals set before launch.
- Turn lessons and operating runbooks into reusable program playbooks. Track follow-up actions and improve planning, handoffs, and reporting so each event starts with what the team has already learned.
You Have
- 7+ years in program management, production, or live operations, including 3+ years leading live events, recurring content programs, or partner programs.
- A track record of building and running complex programs across creative, technical, and business teams, with multiple initiatives moving at once.
- Experience consolidating budget requests, tracking program financials, and managing risks and dependencies through delivery.
- Strong judgment about scope, priorities, and escalation, with the ability to make progress before every detail is settled.
- Proven ability to lead without formal authority and build lasting trust with internal teams and external partners.
- Clear writing and executive communication, with experience connecting program activity to measurable outcomes.
- Fluency with program management tools such as Jira, Airtable, Asana, or equivalents, and the ability to build practical tracking and reporting systems.
- Experience in gaming, creator platforms, entertainment, live events, or esports (preferred).
- Experience building a program or operating model from scratch that other teams adopted (preferred).
- Familiarity with Roblox and its player and creator communities (preferred).
- Experience evaluating partner programs or creative concepts through shared goals and scorecards (preferred).
