Description and Requirements

The Sr. Program Manager sits within the Strategy & Group Performance Management team in the Group Operations Organization (GOO) and partners with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives spanning business groups, corporate functions, and enterprise priorities.

The role bridges strategy and execution by helping leadership identify opportunities, monitor performance, strengthen accountability, and improve business outcomes through effective governance and management systems.

While the position requires a strong understanding of Lenovo’s solutions and services business, its primary focus is enabling enterprise decision-making, performance management, cross-functional alignment, and value realization at the corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Program Leadership & Executive Governance

  • Lead the PMO for high-priority initiatives sponsored by the Group COO or GOO leadership, coordinating execution across business groups and corporate functions
  • Establish governance frameworks, operating rhythms, decision forums, and accountability mechanisms to improve enterprise-wide execution
  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities and organizational objectives
  • Support executive leadership through structured problem-solving, strategic assessments, and actionable recommendations

Business Management System (BMS) & Performance Visibility

  • Design and continuously improve Business Management System (BMS) mechanisms to monitor business health, strategic priorities, risks, and execution progress
  • Develop executive scorecards and KPI frameworks that link strategic objectives to measurable outcomes
  • Establish consistent processes for commitment tracking, action closure, issue escalation, and follow-through across GOO leadership forums
  • Enable structured information exchange among GOO, business groups, and Sales organizations by translating tower inputs into relevant, decision-ready insights

Solutions and Services Business Insights & Value Realization

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Lenovo’s services portfolio, business model, customer needs, competitive environment, and growth drivers
  • Provide services-domain context to help GOO leadership interpret performance, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and determine where GOO support can create the greatest value
  • Differentiate among program delivery, adoption, and realized business value, providing leadership with a balanced view of progress and financial returns
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to strengthen services business outcomes, while leaving technical solution ownership with the appropriate functions
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise program management, strategy, business operations, finance, consulting, and/or a related field, including ownership of complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree or relevant credentials in program management, finance, strategy, or transformation preferred
  • Strong understanding of performance management, financial analysis, ROI assessment, and value realization
  • Experience managing large-scale strategic initiatives involving senior executives and multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive alignment, and influence decisions without direct authority
  • Familiarity with solutions, services, subscription, managed services, recurring revenue, or platform-based business models

Basic Requirements:

  • 7+ years of project/program management, strategy, business operations, finance, and/or consulting experience
