Amazon Web Services•Published 1 days ago•First seen 4 hours ago
Amazon EFS (Elastic File System) is looking for a dynamic and seasoned product leader to help define and build the future of cloud-based file storage. Customers around the world rely on Amazon EFS to provide scalable, elastic, high-performance, secure, and cost-effective shared file storage to support their growing infrastructure needs. Within EFS, you will work with a team that delivers fully managed, cloud-native file storage services with diverse customers ranging from startups to well-known enterprises. As a member of the broader Storage Services Product Management team, you'll join other highly respected product and engineering leaders to create the future of cloud file storage.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior PMT, you will own product strategy and delivery across the Amazon EFS portfolio, including Amazon S3 Files. Launched in April 2026, S3 Files is built on EFS to provide a shared file system for data in Amazon S3. Your customers are developers, builders, and IT teams running production workloads on AWS.
  • Define the vision, PR/FAQs, and multi-year roadmap for EFS and S3 Files, working backwards from what customers are building, from ML training and data preparation to agentic AI, analytics, content management, and container storage.
  • Drive integrations with AWS compute, AI, and analytics services and partners, along with core file system features, making smart tradeoffs on scope, schedule, and one-way doors.
  • Partner with engineering on technical design, evaluating proposals for scale, performance, and extensibility, and define API requirements.
  • Own pricing, packaging, messaging, and go-to market, and enable sales and solutions architects to drive adoption and migrations.
  • Engage directly with technical customers, and own escalations through resolution, including the on-call rotation.
  • Define success metrics, run business reviews, and drive operational improvements and cost reductions.
  • Communicate strategy and results to AWS leadership, and mentor other PMs.
A day in the life
No two days look the same. You might start with a customer's engineering team, learning how they run workloads on EFS and S3 Files and what they need next. Later you work through a new feature design with engineering, defining performance requirements and weighing which decisions are hard to reverse. In the afternoon you might dig into usage data to see where customers get stuck, or help a solutions architect size a file system for a scaling workload. Throughout, you are the voice of the customer, turning what you hear into what the team builds next.
