Amazon Mexico is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive selection strategy for Other Hardlines. This role sits at the intersection of 1P and 3P with the mandate to close catalog gaps and grow selection coverage across both channels through a unified, channel-agnostic approach.

You will own concrete selection outcomes: identifying where the catalog falls short of customer demand, building the mechanisms to close those gaps, and coordinating with Retail and 3P trams to execute at speed. The role requires someone who can operate independently in an ambiguous environment, translate data into prioritized action, and hold cross-functional partners accountable to shared selection goals.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own the selection coverage and strategic roadmap for Other Hardlines, setting priorities based on demand signals, competitive gaps, and channel roles
  • Lead the channel-agnostic selection process: define a joint 1P/3P gap-filling mechanism with the Mexico 3P team, establish shared prioritization criteria, and drive weekly or biweekly execution with both Retail and 3P Teams
  • Identify high-value selection opportunities through customer search data, competitive benchmarking, and category-level demand analysis; translate findings into concrete onboarding or activation plans
  • Drive new ASIN launch performance by coordinating across catalog, pricing, advertising, and in-stock teams to ensure new selection achieves discoverability and conversion after launch
  • Measure and report on selection initiative effectiveness, tracking catalog gap closure, new ASIN success rates, and channel contribution to coverage growth
  • Present selection strategy and performance to Other Hardlines and Mexico leadership and cross-functional stakeholders; escalate blockers with clear business impact framing
  • Incorporate AI tools into selection analysis and catalog workflows to increase throughput and reduce manual effort
Impact & Scope
  • Own selection coverage metrics for Other Hardlines Mexico
  • Directly influence new revenue through catalog gap closure and new ASIN launch success
  • Define how 1P and 3P teams coordinate on selection in MX Retail
  • Work daily with Other Hardlines Vendor Managers and the 3P Seller Services team; report into the Other Hardlines team with visibility to the Mexico Leadership Team
