Description

The Retail Technology China team is responsible for the end-to-end digital app and hardware experience in Apple Retail China stores, including all aspects of the customer and employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Product Manager in the Retail Technology team, you will shape the product strategy across a significant portion of the Retail Technology China portfolio and be a trusted voice in how Apple Retail China stores deliver technology to employees and customers. This work spans the full Retail Technology portfolio including but not limited to demo capabilities and/or apps, product discovery and pricing experiences, customer self-led end-to-end journeys including checkout, purchase and fulfillment experiences, ways to buy and services offering experiences, post-purchase experiences including Genius Bar and repair services, and back of house experiences (e.g., inventory management, reporting, leadership operations). The role is highly cross functional, requires deep collaboration across Apple and the China market, and carries accountability for outcomes across multiple concurrent, interdependent workstreams.

Responsibilities: (include up to 4 bullets)
  • Own the product strategy and delivery approach across multiple workstreams, representing the interests of business and technology through design, development, and deployment, ensuring proper data treatment in China — and making the tradeoff calls when priorities conflict.
  • Lead coordination of funding, release schedules, resource alignment, and quality standards across teams, proactively surfacing risk and driving resolution rather than just tracking status.
  • Influence business partners, engineering leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders — including at senior levels — to align on design direction, feature prioritization, and release commitments, often without direct authority over the teams involved.
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-org problems: frame the business opportunity, understand the technology stack, integrations, services, APIs, and roadmap implications, and set direction that scales and holds up over time.
  • Mentor and unblock other PMs on the team, and represent the portfolio’s status, risks, and decisions to senior/executive audiences with the judgment to tailor depth and framing to the audience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of dedicated Product Management experience delivering software and/or hardware experiences in a retail, e-commerce, or consumer organization, with a proven track record of owning and delivering product roadmaps and features from ideation to launch and ongoing support — including problem framing, success criteria definition, journey mapping, concept creation, prototyping, requirements documentation, backlog management, test strategy and execution, delivery, and ongoing health management.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and deliver multiple complex, large-scale, global projects and programs across a wide portfolio of software and hardware concurrently.
  • Experience delivering software and/or hardware experiences in China for a retail, e-commerce, or consumer organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience using AI throughout the software and/or hardware development lifecycle and project/program management systems.
  • Experience with Apple hardware and operating systems.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of mentoring or informally leading other product managers.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and lead without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
