Senior Product Manager — Billing and Accounting, Amazon Shipping
Ready to build Amazon's next $100B business? We're not just entering shipping, we're transforming how billions of packages move around the globe. By evolving Amazon's legendary fulfillment engine into an agile, intelligent shipping network, we're creating a system that continuously optimizes to deliver on time, every time, for every business and every customer. Every shipment is more than just a box, it spins the flywheel faster, enhancing our logistics network through scale, speed, and intelligence. As we increase density and reach, we're revolutionizing shipping for all businesses while strengthening Amazon's own delivery capabilities, reducing costs and accelerating deliveries across our entire ecosystem.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We're hiring a Senior Product Manager for Billing and Accounting in Amazon Shipping. This role exists to make getting paid effortless and trustworthy for our shippers, and predictable and well-controlled for the business, as we consolidate fragmented, region-specific billing systems into a more standardized flow.
You'll own execution of defined product workstreams across the invoice-to-cash lifecycle: how charges are billed, how invoices are presented, how customers pay, how disputes and adjustments are resolved, and how transactions reconcile to the ledger. You'll drive consolidation of legacy and interim billing systems, close functional gaps, and ensure accurate, compliant, and controlled financial outcomes across every marketplace we operate in. You'll turn complex billing and accounting requirements into clear product definitions, and partner across operations, pricing, payments, credit risk, accounting, tax, and engineering to deliver them.
You'll work at the intersection of finance, operations, and engineering, translating regulatory, accounting, and customer requirements into crisp product requirements, and turning them into billing experiences that scale as the business grows.
You'll collaborate closely with:
-Billing Operations teams who manage day-to-day shipper interactions on invoices, payments, and disputes
-Payments and Credit Risk product owners whose capabilities your billing workstreams depend on
-Pricing teams introducing new charges and rate structures that our systems must bill for
-Accounting teams who own the ledger and require accurate, compliant, and controlled financial records
-Tax (VAT) teams who own compliance and filings
-Engineering teams building the billing and accounting platform
-Senior leadership setting financial strategy and controls for the business
WHO ARE YOU?
You're a product leader who is equally comfortable digging into an invoice reconciliation, writing a crisp product narrative, and walking an accounting or operations leader through a control tradeoff. You have strong product sense and build the right thing, not just build the thing right, within a defined charter. You bring real financial and data fluency, enough to partner credibly with accounting, tax, and finance on controls and compliance, and with engineers on data and systems, and you understand how billing, invoicing, and reconciliation actually get done day to day. You decompose an undefined problem space into a clear, sequenced set of deliverables, define the metrics that matter, and let them guide prioritization. You communicate crisply across functional, operations, and leadership audiences, and you balance a bias for action with the judgment to know a one-way door from a two-way door. You're a strong owner who is right a lot, and you measure success by customer and business outcomes, accurate billing, on-time payment, clean reconciliation, and reduced disputes, not features shipped. You thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where product decisions directly impact billing accuracy, reconciliation, dispute rates, and cash flow across a rapidly scaling business.
Key job responsibilities
Product Execution & Delivery
Amazon Shipping is the parcel shipping arm of Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS), Amazon's portfolio of freight, distribution, fulfillment, and parcel shipping solutions, extending the logistics network built for Amazon's own operations to businesses of all types and sizes.
Billing & Payments sits at the financial heart of that flywheel. Every shipment a customer trusts us to move must be priced, billed, paid, and reconciled accurately, at massive scale, across currencies, geographies, and payment methods. Get this right, and shippers pay with confidence, disputes fall, and cash flows predictably. As Amazon Shipping grows, this team is building the billing and payments foundations that let the business scale without friction.
