Our mission is to ensure customers trust Amazon to deliver a perfect order experience on every order. The Order Performance team within Perfect Order Experience (POE) is responsible for setting performance standards and ensuring that every purchase in our stores meets or exceeds Amazon's high bar for fulfillment quality and customer service quality — regardless of seller or channel. For our external selling partners, we set minimum performance expectations and enforce those expectations by limiting selling privileges if needed, while incentivizing sellers to improve performance and address customer pain points.

As a Senior Product Manager-Tech for Enforcement Decisioning, you will own the logic that determines when enforcement triggers — the threshold framework that translates seller performance metrics into enforcement decisions across all Order Performance policies and all global marketplaces. You will build intelligent, data-driven decisioning that calibrates enforcement to the tradeoff between customer harm prevented and seller value lost. You will also own the criteria for exemptions, leniency, and permanent enforcement, determining which sellers deserve differentiated treatment. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, policy teams, and operations stakeholders to define the vision, design experiments, and ship decisioning systems that reduce order defects for hundreds of millions of customers while preserving the seller value that drives Amazon's flywheel.

Key job responsibilities
1. Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for enforcement decisioning, including data-driven threshold models, exemption frameworks, permanent enforcement pathways, and graduated enforcement calibration across multiple fulfillment quality policies

2. Make trade-off decisions across enforcement model design (segmentation, economic tradeoff curves, marketplace-specific vs. global calibration)

3. Design and launch enforcement decisioning systems that maximize defect prevention while minimizing unnecessary enforcement of valuable selection

4. Design exemption and leniency logic — including thresholds for high-value listings, enforcement leniency for sellers with sustained clean performance, and graduated protection mechanisms

5. Run A/B and holdout experiments to measure the causal impact of threshold changes on customer experience and business metrics— translating experimental results into production rollout decisions

6. Author the long-term enforcement strategy and present to senior leadership, contributing to annual planning cycles and writing strategy documents that align cross-functional stakeholders
