Lumentum is seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Solutions Architect to lead the strategy, architecture, and evolution of the company's Microsoft technology ecosystem. This individual will serve as the enterprise technical authority responsible for designing secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Identity, Security, Collaboration, AI, and Modern Workplace technologies.

Working closely with Infrastructure, Information Security, Enterprise Applications, Engineering, and business leadership, this role will define the Microsoft technology roadmap, establish architectural standards, and provide technical leadership for enterprise transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to translate business strategy into scalable technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture and strategic roadmap for Microsoft technologies.
• Define architectural standards, governance, and best practices across Microsoft platforms.
• Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend adoption strategies that improve business capabilities.
• Serve as the principal technical advisor for Microsoft-related initiatives and investments.

Solution Architecture

• Architect enterprise solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Identity, Security, Collaboration, and AI platforms.
• Design secure, highly available, and scalable cloud and hybrid solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Ensure solution designs align with cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business strategy.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads while establishing architectural standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and business teams on enterprise initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with Microsoft and strategic technology partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience designing and implementing enterprise Microsoft solutions.
• 5+ years serving as a Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale Microsoft cloud transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting complex global enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
• TOGAF, CISSP, or equivalent industry certifications
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance
• Experience driving AI and automation initiatives using Microsoft technologies
