We are searching for a self-directed, highly motivated engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to, and develop expertise in working across teams inside and outside of one of Texas Instruments' fabs. The selected candidate will be given assignments and projects that are meaningful, challenging and that provide an outstanding experience, while contributing to the success of Texas Instruments.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on continuous improvement projects aligned with quality objectives.
- Support internal and external audits, including compliance with IATF 16949 standards & VDA 6.3 standards
- Monitor and analyze in-line quality metrics, defect trends. Drive multidisciplinary team towards root cause investigation and solution to improve LRR trend.
- Identify and assess risks in in-process monitoring , internal audits etc.
- Drive multidisciplinary team towards root cause investigation, risk assessment & solution for external customer return events
- Effective daily communication with engineering peer groups inside and outside of A/T, occasionally with external.
- Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, Fish Bone Analysis, 3x5why, 8D, SPC & etc to effectively improve quality performance
- Track and follow up on LOH (Lot on Hold) improvement actions, assess their effectiveness, and ensure proper closure
- Maintain relevant quality documentation (eg: Control Plans, Work Instruction, Quality Spec & etc)
- Manage and track on New Product Introduction (NPI) for QA related activities
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other related engineering degrees.
Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment and with quality engineering experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Analytical mindset with risk-based thinking.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Familiar with FMEA, Spotfire, 8D, Root cause analysis techniques, Quality Management System will be an added advantage
- Familiar with Assembly, Test, Post Test , Bump and Probe operation will be an added advantage
- Familiar with New Product Introduction (NPI) process & knowledge will be an added advantage
