Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management, TEST
We are moving from product development and early production toward significantly higher volumes, and we need a senior leader to build the supply-chain organization that makes that possible. In this role, you will own the end-to-end supply-chain function for a complex robotics product — from strategic sourcing and supplier development through planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and material readiness. You will inherit an environment where the product, supplier base, manufacturing footprint, and operating model are all evolving at once, and your mandate will be to turn that ambiguity into a clear multi-year strategy, a scalable global organization, and operating mechanisms that let RIVR increase production without compromising engineering velocity, product quality, cost, or delivery reliability. This is a rare opportunity to shape a function rather than inherit a fixed model: you will define the strategy, build the team, influence supplier and manufacturing decisions, and establish how RIVR scales.
Key job responsibilities
You might start the morning reviewing supplier performance dashboards with your {ADDRESS} team, then join a cross-functional design review in Zurich where your input on manufacturability and sourcing constraints shapes the next product iteration. After lunch you work through a capacity-planning scenario with your procurement leads, followed by a one-on-one coaching session with a rising manager. Later in the afternoon you negotiate terms with a strategic supplier and close the day preparing an investment recommendation for senior leadership. Across it all, you move between strategy and execution, keeping production on track while building the organization for what comes next.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year global supply-chain strategy aligned with RIVR's product roadmap, production targets, cost objectives, and geographic expansion — and establish the operating mechanisms and performance metrics to track progress.
- Build and lead a scalable supply-chain organization across Zurich, {ADDRESS}, and future locations, developing capable leaders, establishing clear ownership, and creating decision-making processes that do not depend on individual escalation.
- Develop a resilient, commercially competitive supplier network by leading strategic sourcing, negotiating critical commercial agreements, and managing capacity plans and cost-reduction initiatives across an evolving product portfolio.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product, Finance, Legal, and Program Management to ensure designs can be industrialized, suppliers meet technical requirements, and production has the materials and capacity it needs to scale.
- Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks proactively — stepping into supplier, material, or logistics escalations when the business is at risk — while making informed trade-offs between speed, quality, cost, and resilience.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
