In this highly visible role, you will lead strategic initiatives from hypothesis development and executive decision-making through implementation and measurable business impact. Working closely with senior executives, you will drive cross-functional transformation projects that influence business direction, operational excellence, and long-term growth.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You continuously develop the strategic project portfolio of the Advanced Therapies business and support the Advanced Therapies leadership team in identifying and prioritizing the most critical strategic initiatives.
  • You ensure high standards of execution and act as a quality gate for strategic projects across the organization.
  • Within the Advanced Therapies strategy team you develop, coordinate, and lead strategic projects from the initial concept and business case through implementation and sustainable realization of results.
  • You drive cross-functional initiatives across our clinical segments, functions (e.g., Portfolio Management, SCM, Quality, Finance), and regions to address key business challenges and growth opportunities.
  • You support the development and consolidation of clinical segment strategies into an overarching Advanced Therapies strategy and contribute to the annual strategy review process as well as the presentation of our strategy to the capital market.
  • You play a key role in shaping strategic priorities and translate them into actionable objectives, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes.
  • You create high‑quality and impactful presentations for the Advanced Therapies Management, the Managing Board, or the Supervisory Board.
  • You continuously improve strategic project excellence by introducing best practices, innovative methodologies, and new technologies such as Generative AI.
  • You act as a trusted partner to the Advanced Therapies leadership team and support strategic decision-making through fact-based analyses and recommendations.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a university degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA, PhD, M.D., or equivalent advanced qualification is considered a plus.
  • You have several years of solid professional experience in project management, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, or a comparable strategic role within an international set-up. You have gained this experience in a leading management consulting firm or a comparable strategic corporate function.
  • You have several years of experience in strategy development and driving strategic initiatives, ideally complemented by experience in implementing and realizing strategic projects and transformation programs.
  • You have experience in coordinating activities within matrix organizations in an international environment and possess functional leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in the MedTech industry, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of the therapy markets in Advanced Therapies’ focus areas (Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Surgery, endovascular robotics) are an advantage.

  • You bring excellent project management and stakeholder management skills and, as a team player, you know how to align diverse interests to achieve common objectives.
  • You are an effective communicator and presenter who can tailor complex topics to different audiences, including top management.
  • You are fluent in English and thrive in an international setting. In addition, you have business-fluent German skills (at least B2 level) and are able to confidently collaborate, communicate, and influence stakeholders in a German-speaking business environment.
