Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Role Overview

Provide enterprise-wide leadership for Quality Engineering across product teams, championing AI-driven testing, automation, cloud-native quality strategies, performance engineering, reliability engineering, and continuous testing practices. Collaborates and influences Product, Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE teams to improve product quality, increase delivery speed, whilst maintaining operational resilience, regulatory requirements, and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Engineering Leadership

  • Define and execute enterprise Quality Engineering strategy, standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Champion Shift-Left, Shift-Right, Continuous Testing, and Quality-by-Design.
  • Lead and mentor Quality Engineering teams while driving measurable quality and productivity improvement
  • Lead from the front by remaining deeply hands-on in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, doing Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for AI, automation, and engineering platforms, establishing technical direction, and enabling teams to scale successful solutions into enterprise adoption.

AI-Driven Quality Engineering

  • Implement AI/GenAI solutions for test case generation, automation development, test data generation, defect triage, RCA, risk-based testing, and regression optimization.
  • Build AI-powered QA copilots, self-healing frameworks, autonomous testing solutions, and predictive quality analytics.
  • Integrate AI agents with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, BrowserStack, and observability platforms.

Automation & Quality Platform Engineering

  • Develop enterprise-wide automation frameworks for UI, API, Integration, Contract, Performance, Security, Accessibility, and E2E testing.
  • Establish scalable testing platforms, reusable accelerators, quality gates, and CI/CD-integrated continuous testing solutions.
  • Drive automation-first strategies and increase automation maturity across teams.

Cloud, Data & Reliability Engineering

  • Define testing strategies for cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, distributed, and AWS-based systems.
  • Lead testing of Kafka, Elasticsearch, REST APIs, messaging systems, and data platforms.
  • Collaborate with SRE teams on observability, resilience, failover, chaos testing, incident analysis, and reliability improvements.

Performance Engineering

  • Establish performance engineering frameworks and automated performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Validate scalability, reliability, capacity planning, and identify performance bottlenecks.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, Automation, or related domains.
  • Proven experience managing QA/QE teams and leading enterprise quality transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Continuous Delivery, and Quality Engineering practices.

AI Quality Engineering

  • AI-generated testing

Success Metrics

  • Reduce production defect leakage by more than 50%.
  • Achieve 95%+ automation coverage for all business journeys.
  • Reduce test creation and automation effort by 50-60% using AI.
  • Reduce regression execution time by 50% from the current stake.
  • Improve release confidence, deployment success rate, reliability, and engineering productivity.

This role is essentially a hands-on Quality Engineering Transformation Leader responsible for driving the convergence of AI, Automation, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Observability, Performance Engineering, and Continuous Testing to improve product quality, reliability, customer experience, and delivery velocity across LSEG.
