The Opportunity

Senior Manager, Ad Events and Guest Experiences role will be a part of the Global Corporate Events team. This position will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning, execution, and post-event evaluation of Netflix’s advertising focused events and the guest experience at our LIVE Events. This includes a variety of events, such as: department offsites, client councils, industry tentpoles and more. In this role, you’ll work alongside senior leadership and a cross-functional team to ensure seamless, high-impact event delivery that aligns with Netflix’s objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of assigned events
  • Lead all aspects of event production for various events including but not limited to creative design, sourcing venues and vendor research/contract negotiation/management.
  • Work cross-functionally with key partners and stakeholders (content, ads marketing, sales, brand, travel, security, etc).
  • Manage attendee experience and operations holistically.
  • Ensure all guest touchpoints—from arrival to departure—are seamless, welcoming, and consistent with events team standards.
  • Identify opportunities to better scale and operationalize our events. 
  • Create, manage and reconcile budgets/invoices. Ensure events are executed creatively and within agreed upon budgets.  
  • Own post-event analysis; gathering feedback and evaluating the success of events based on established goals.
  • Maintain event standards and up-leveling based on feedback and past events.

What You’ll Need:

  • Direct experience leading/managing a wide range of events, both large and small scale.
  • Strong communication skills, highly organized and demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Extensive project management experience with the ability to actively manage/execute numerous projects at one time.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to make decisions within ambiguity, using data and information to inform decisions
  • Attention to detail. Meticulous in managing logistics, guest lists, and hospitality standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex events on time and within budget.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%).
  • The desire to consistently innovate, proactively bringing new ideas to the table – both strategically and in execution.
  • A creative thinker who can problem solve and work independently. 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably the majority of that experience at a brand, network, agency or studio, within events. 
  • 3+ years of experience working on advertising specific events.
  • Experience managing large scale hotel blocks and complex transportation 
  • Proven track record leading and managing complex projects and bringing new ideas successfully to fruition. 
  • Proficient in Google suite, salesforce and airtable
  • A creative problem solver with a point of view. Demonstrated ability to think innovatively - connecting the dots when others cannot. 
  • Existing relationships with vendors and venues, primarily in the LA and NY area.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $238,000.00 - $433,000.00.
